Sweet on Seattle - Sept. 19th, 2009

I had a simply fabulous day today. Who wouldn't when you are having a day of fun in Seattle? Tasha and I had tickets to see Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs in IMAX 3-D and decided to make a whole day of it. The first thing we did was go eat at this simply smashing Asian restaurant called Szechuan Noodle Bowl. Tasha had been here before with her sister, but it was my first time ever going and it was marvelous. I had shredded chicken noodle with soup, and it was heavenly. We also ordered green onion pancakes which I have to say is one of the best things I have ever eaten in my life. I will definitely be going back. Then we headed over to a cute cupcake place called Cupcake Royale. I got a lemondrop cupcake which was scrumptious and then got a small cupcake (they call them babycakes) in the huckleberry flavor :) Her sister worked right down the street so we stopped in for awhile to visit before the movie. Then for the centerpiece of the whole day, the movie. Let me just say that this is the first time I have ever seen a 3-D movie at the IMAX and I was blown away! Everything was in 3-D, not just a few little things here and there, no it was everything! The movie was pretty spectacular too. Such a lovely day.

Crazy Cake Sept. 17th, 2009

Really the only thing I did was bake this cake. My mom has been on my case for literally 2 weeks wanting me to bake her a cake. I finally gave in and baked her one. It's pretty plain, yellow cake, with raspberry creme filling and cream cheese frosting. It is delish though! After baking it I definitely went to the gym though :)

Voracious Vocals - Sept. 16th, 2009

So today was a pretty average day. Except I did go with Tasha to TCC to pick up some of our books for classes which start in like 11 days!!!! We also went to this amazing new cupcake place in Proctor called Sweet Things. They have some amazing cupcakes. I tried the Chocolate Mint and Vanilla Raspberry. They were simply divine. Then I had vocal lessons which are always amazing. They are getting really difficult. I'm working on hitting a G above the staff. I've hit it tons of times, but I always get so nervous going for it. It's hard for me to just let everything go and do it. I hate being so shy. If I ever want to be in a show I have to get more confidence. Oh well...until next time I guess.

Jazzy Japanese Sept. 15th 2009

My friend Mari just got back from Japan and is leaving soon for Western Washington University, so we really had to hangout. She bought me a whole bunch of stuff from Japan(I gave her some money lol) and I was super excited to see what she got me!!! She got me the cups(shown in pic) some chopsticks, notebooks, stationary, yummy snacks, awesome pens, awesome smelly erasers, and earphones for my ipod that allows it to hang around my neck for the gym!! :) Our fun started at best buy looking for awesome DS games. I got Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box. Let me just say, this game is hard. Some of the puzzles they say are easy, aren't and vice versa, crazy. Mari got a really cute DS carrying case that looks like a little purse, super cute. Then we went to boarders to look for books. I didn't get anything there but she got some cool boxes for jewelry, a manga, and a really small alarm clock the size of a box of matches, super tight. Then we just went to jamba juice, got some yummy smoothies and looked at all her pictures from Japan. Unfortunately 50 pictures from the end her camera died :( so I didn't get to see them all. Sad. She leaves so soon for college, so it was really nice to see her before she left.

Brilliant Bowlers Sept. 14th, 2009

Who knew the after posting my previous entry, I would do something awesome my very next day! My friend Tasha and I haven't seen each other for a few days and were really stumped as to what we could do to have fun in Tacoma. Eventually though she had the amazing idea to go to Tower Lanes and play mini golf and go bowling. It was perfect. She whooped me 50 strokes to 71 strokes at mini golf. It was so much fun. Then bowling came along and that is definitely my territory since I've only bowled since I was 5. I bowled a 155 and then a 178, best I've bowled in awhile since I've stopped doing league bowling. So by the end we both had fun and had an exciting time. If only there were more fun things to do in Tacoma we wouldn't have to wrack our brains thinking of things to do. Oh well, Tacoma is Tacoma.

Delicious Delights September 13th

I know, I didn't post anything yesterday. I'm starting to rethink this blog. I hate the days that I've just sat around my house doing nothing and then have to blog about it. I got so inspired by the people on youtube that I follow watching their everyday vlogs. I figured they make a video everyday, it shouldn't be hard for me to take a picture and type everyday. I'm starting to realize that my theory is dead wrong. I think I'm going to change the whole purpose of this blog. I will continue to take pictures, but it isn't going to be everyday anymore. I don't want this to be a boring blog, and I feel that it has become just that. I want to be able to look back on this blog and feel like I accomplished something with it, even if no one else is reading it. From now on, I'm only picture blog on the days I actually do something worth blogging about, or am overly excited about something. I also want to be able to come to this blog to rant about things that are bugging me in my life. Even if this revelation relaxes me, I feel like I am failing myself for not sticking to the original purpose of this blog. In the end life is all about compromise I guess.

So, the reason that there is a picture of a fork is that, well, that's exactly what was in my hand all day. I ate so much. I woke up and ate lunch a combo of hummus and pita chips, and yummy pasta salad, way to much of both. I also had some chips and salsa and then had more pasta salad and a turkey breast for dinner. Way to much food. Going to the gym tomorrow for sure.

Perfect Party Sept. 11th, 2009

Yay today my friend Aimee had a housewarming party for the new apartment she moved into. This picture isn't from it, but I can't really find a good one from that night. It was super fun, lots of drinking and good things like that. I got to play two new really awesome board games. One was called Small World and it was a mix between Dungeons and Dragons and Risk. It happened to be pretty fun. The other one was Rorschach. It was a game with inkblots. It it would ask questions like which one is more exciting and you wanted to try to pick the same one as someone else. Awesome party game. At about 4 in the morning though I had to drive my friend to the emergency room because he had a really fast heartbeat and chest pressure. They didn't take him seriously because of the drinking, even though he has a pretty extensive medical history, it was B.S. All in all it was a good night though.

Silky Sweat

So I wasn't feeling good most of the day today. I eventually dragged my but to the gym though! I was very happy that I did too. Yesterday though So You Think You Can Dance and Glee premiered and they were AMAZING just like I thought they would be. I so can't wait for next weeks episode of Glee especially. There is so much drama going on in that show I can't stand it!

Cool Clothing

Sadly today was another VERY lazy day for me. I really didn't do much except put my clothes away which instantly made my room look cleaner. I really need to stay on top of keeping my clothes put away and keeping my room organized. I'm very excited though because I received one of my school books in the mail, the "Bedford Reader". It's my English book. I'm so excited it came. Hopefully my other books come soon. As a nice finish to my day I managed to drag my butt to the gym. It took awhile to get started but it felt amazing once I was in my groove.
Time to sleep.

Trippy Tattoos

Hey! So if you read my other blog you would have already seen this picture. It's a sketch of the tattoo I want to get!! I spent all day drawing it. I really hate being a perfectionist about these things. I literally had parts that I erased and redrew 10 times at least. So like I said, I really spend a lot of my time on this for the day. I think I may redo it using my Chinese calligraphy set that my friend got me and see how it looks :) Besides that my day has been filled with watching tons of t.v and ZERO productivity. I really can't wait till school starts!
PLUS GLEE STARTS WEDNESDAY!

Radical Rainbows

My started off pretty boring. My mom woke me up at 9am to eat breakfast. Personally I would have liked to sleep more than eat, but try telling my mom that. In all I guess it was good I woke up so early, because it allowed me to be fully awake by 12 and head to the gym for 1 1/2 hours. Then I got home and watched some good old fashion t.v and took a nap. Then after awhile me and my bestie Tasha decided to get some dinner together at North China Garden, afterwards we tried to go get some coffee at Origin where we got this awesome picture, but sadly they were closed. We had to settle for tea at Mandolin Cafe. Hooray for Market Spice tea.

Slow Saturday

So today I did absolutely nothing. It was a very lazy day. I got up and really had no energy to do anything besides sit in front of my computer and web surf. I should have dedicated some of my energy into working on some things on my 101 list, but I really just didn't have the energy. I did eventually go to the gym but it wasn't all that fantastic. Sorry about this dreadfully boring update.

Marvelous Muffins

They look kind of weird I know, but they are blackberry so they are delicious regardless of their looks. All day my mom and I were together baking and cooking yummy delicious food. Besides making these muffins, we made salmon burgers and fried zucchini for dinner. I also got her to sit down and watch the pilot for GLEE which starts next wednesday!!!! I'm super excited!

Veritable Vegetables

Today my friend Tasha and I took a trip to the farmers market, and it was simply fabulous! I bought some red and orange peppers, some red onions, some jalapeƱos, bunch of cilantro, and a baguette (all shown in picture). I also bought some raspberry jelly and some blackberries that didn't make it into the pic. Hopefully I will be able to make some delicious salsa with the veggies I bought and make some Blackberry muffins :) My friend Tasha bought the most gorgeous bouquet of flowers, they were simply stunning. Today was truly spectacular day for the market.

Forever Friends

So I actually feel really bad for using this picture, one I didn't even take the picture and two, this picture wasn't even taken today, it was taken back in June, but its one of my favorites of my friend Mari and I. Today, I spent some time with Mari because she is leaving for Japan tomorrow and then when she gets back, she leaves immediately for college so today was the only time to spend with her before not seeing her for 3 solid months. We had a good day, we went to dinner, visited some bookstores, and then got ice cream, all while reminiscing about our experiences in high school. We talked about the ups, the downs, the secret crushes, and even how we thought would turn out 10 years from now. I'm going to miss Mari, but I know we will see each other again.

Funky Falcons

So today I went to the gym and I just happened to be wearing my Henry Foss Super Fan t-shirt. I didn't think anything special about it. When I was stretching there was a guy in front of me motioning to my shirt, so I took out my earphones and just kind of looked at him. He asked me if I went to Foss and I just kind of smiled and nodded. He looked to be about 35 or 40 and he said he had graduated a while ago, kind of laughing, you could tell he was reminiscing slightly. I told him I had just graduated this past June. He could have just nodded his head and went back to his workout but he smiled big and said congratulations you should be proud. I did. I really did. I find it strange that two people who normally would probably never talk to each other can find common terms with something like a common high school. The fact that he had such fond memories for Foss that he would tell a fellow falcon congratulations even when they aren't apart of the same generation really made me think of all my experiences at Foss. It made me realize that I truly was happy that I had attended the Home of the Falcons. I think of all my teachers, all the people I met, and all of the priceless moments that I experienced, and I realize that I truly am lucky to have attended that school. I wouldn't be who I am today if I had gone anywhere else. I always thought that after I left the home of the green and gold I would never be able to speak the old motto, "Everyday is a great day when I can say, I'm a Henry Foss Falcon full of spirit and pride and I love to hold it down for Henry Foss High". This encounter though taught me that I will always be a Falcon even 50 years from now, I will always have a connection to the past, present, and future of Henry Foss High School.
