Sleepless in Seattle

Whoever reads this...if you read my other blog you already know that today my friend Tasha and I went to Seattle. Our original plan though was to eat at a restaurant called Szechuan Noodle Bowl. We drove all the was there and were parked in front of the restaurant when Tasha remembered they were closed on Monday...it was devastating as you can tell by our faces in the picture. On the bright side we got to visit her sister Amanda and eat at a delicious restaurant in Broadway called Julia's. All in all it was a successful adventure we will just have to visit that place another time :(

Cataclysmic Cardio

Today was my first day going to the gym in a WEEK! I can't believe I took such a long break from working out. Let me tell you I'm paying for it. The gym literally kicked my @$$ today. It was horrible. I got through my normal workout but barely. I guess I'm going to have to drag my booty there tomorrow so I can get back into a normal routine. Now I'm going to relax and enjoy some yummy kabobs :)

Feeling Fresh

Today I actually woke up early for once! I had a very good reason though. I wanted to go to the farmers market in Proctor district with mi madre. It was super amazing! They had so many fresh vegetables and fruits. My mom was very surprised by some of the cheap prices that you could find at the market. It was fun introducing my mom to fresh, truly fresh produce. She even agreed to give me a portion of the grocery budget each week to spend at the various markets! So now we can have FRESH produce every week...well until they markets end in November :( Not only did we go to the market though we had an awesome time going to Trader Joe's, one of the best places in the whole world. I love the times mom and I get to hangout and just have fun.

Tantilizing Thai

Every once in a while my father will fly away to a casino somewhere far far away with one of his work friends. It is on these magical evenings when my father is nowhere in sight that my mom and I get to have "our" time. Usually we go off to a restaurant together and have an amazing time just talking and getting caught up on all the things we have missed with our busy lives. Tonight we went to one of our favorite places, Silk Thai. It was simply amazing! Especially the delicious calamari we got as an appetizer (in picture). The food is always so good, and the decoration makes it even better. These amazing evenings may not happen often but I always remember every single one of them simply because of the fact that they are so rare.

Peachy Keen

So today me and my friend Sonja have hung out for the first time since the middle of June. She got back from visiting her boyfriend in Luxembourg finally haha. She had recently bought some yummy peaches and pretty flowers. So we made some peach ice tea with slices of peach right in it and sorta chilled at her house and caught up on everything that has been going on since she left. It was such a warm day out that peach tea was just the thing to cool down. Not only did we catch up but she also whooped me in two games of gin and she also whooped me in crazy eights 10 games to 8 games :(

Simply Sublime

So I know I said I was only going to post 1 picture a day...but I figured for my first post I could cheat and put 2 lol. Today I got my haircut obviously! I went to a new place though. It's called Sublime Salon and Spa (salontacoma.com) Let me just say this place is amazing! It is definitely a "hip and with it" kind of place! The decor is amazing and very cool. The employees are all very nice. Besides the amazing haircut, the best part would have to be the massager in the shampoo chair, it was a very welcome surprise. They also offer drinks while waiting, you could even get a glass of wine if you fancy. There were some negatives though. This salon is in the heart of downtown Tacoma Broadway street, not a place known for its parking. There are only four parking spots around the salon that are 1 hour parking and those are often filled with cars from the restaurant across the street. Also my appointment was at 4:30. I left my house earlier than I would to make sure I could find the place. I got there at about 4:25, I don't mind having to wait usually but I didn't see the stylist until 4:45...a little longer than I usually like to wait. Also, I usually like to get my hair textured using a straight razor which many people are learning to do in beauty schools nowadays, but my stylist was still using texture shears. Personally not my fancy. With that aside I will continue to visit Sublime Salon. If anyone does read this and wants to take a chance on Sublime, my stylist's name was Rhea.

A Picture A Day

So, I have decided to start a new blog! I decided that I want to chronicle my daily life!
How I'm going to do this is I'm going to post a picture a day, exactly one picture a day.
Hopefully this blog works out. I have another blog out there chronicling my progress on the Day Zero Project. (chuckandbeyond.blogspot.com)
